  3. Amitji you are very true. Everyone knows that, for an individual anything starts with me. Print media has no alternative. A newspaper, journal, magazine is always with you for reference and rethinking.

  4. Yes present day reality. There are so many sources to gather and share information and such numerous sources instead of making person clear in thought process confuses him.Rather relying on print media for news and information and on books for spending quality time is the best way .Dear Amit your article emphasis on the same and that is the need of the day in this ever fast changing social media savay world.

  6. Nicely articulated thoughts Amit bhai.I liked your views about the responsible print media and virtual social media and their influence on our everyday life. We don't care about problems created by us in the race to improve our virtual image.. like traffic jams on roads to Mahabaleshwar, kas, thoseghar etc. Thanks again for writing and sharing !

  12. Very well written Amitji. It is so true that today we are being manipulated by the different forms of media especially so by social media. We find people so enamored by Facebook, WhatsApp that hardly ever does one pause to think about credibility. In this vast maze of communication channels, it is the print media which has retained its credibility. However, sometimes, what we read in the newspapers is also sometimes to be taken with a pinch of salt since many resort to attention grabbing headlines. Very often what we, as common people read is governed by the media barons.

  13. Nicely written!
Another interesting point to it: social media carves a niche for each individual and focuses on showing content that can be monetized. Newspapers, on the other hand, publish all sorts of information en-masse.
While, for advertising industry, certainly the contextual and monetizable model suits the best, the traditional print media stays by to give an immersive experience. The only lagging point that the print media had was the quick availability - with Apps like The Mint, ET et al. coming up, this point has also been effectively addressed. This, truly leverages the power of digital and physical by bringing together the best of both worlds!
